China’s Manufacturing Resumes Growth, Ending Six Months of Decline


BEIJING—Activity in China’s factories unexpectedly accelerated in November, according to an official measure, ending six months of contraction.

Both domestic and external demand showed improvement, but economists say it is too soon to conclude that the world’s second-largest economy is back on track: Uncertainties include rising consumer inflation and lingering doubts about whether Beijing and Washington can reach a partial trade deal.
